Application Templates
The support for specific applications or computational scenarios in QCG-Portal is handled through Application Templates. Each template defines both how the given application should be executed on a cluster as well how it should be presented to users in QCG-Portal.
In order to submit a task through QCG-Portal, a user need to click on
Template Selection View
The Template Selection view shows users all available templates for submitting tasks. The list of templates varies depending on the applications available on a cluster, their configuration in QCG-Portal, and the individual permissions of each user.
The view consists of two main sections, counted from the bottom:
lists all templates available for submitting tasks on the cluster. Clicking a template’s box displays more information about it, while clicking the Submit a job button opens the Application Input Form for submitting a task with that template.
shows templates the user has recently used. Each recently used template displays information about the last submission made with it. These templates include New Job buttons, which open the Application Input Form with default settings, and may also include Submit Again shortcut buttons, allowing users to quickly resubmit tasks using the previous configuration for that template.
In addition, the Search Box can be used to filter the list of available templates.
Template's Details & Documentation
The brief information about the template can be accessed after clicking in the template's box. The displayed information will include useful links to the documentation about the template.
